Fight on or take the Pardon?

At the Council of War, at Frome on June 29 (see Post here), Monmouth gave he officers two clear paths:

  1. Continue the struggle to free the country from tyranny and to restore Liberty the the Protestant Religion, even though, in his heart he knows that many will die and the odds of winning are against him, so march on London’ or
  2. Dismiss the Army, letting the men take the General Pardon offered by James, the Duke of York (or King James II) whilst he and those excluded from the Pardon will try to ‘escape to Flanders‘.

The path chosen by his council was ‘London‘ but what do you thing he should do today? Vote closes tomorrow at midnight.
