The Monmouth Rebellion Timeline

6 February to 15 July 1685

The Monmouth Rebellion Timeline starts in September 1684 with the aborted Michaelmas uprising. However, after the death of King Charles II the Whigs began planning for the invasions in Scotland & England. These plans would become the Monmouth Rebellion.

In Scotland this has been called Argyll’s Rising, or in England the Pitchfork Rebellion or Western Rising.
