This morning we depart from Taunton in high spirits, as last night more Horse arrived under Col. Dore. Today our line of march is as follows:

In total approximately 6 to 7000 men march into Bridgwater this evening, as still more join the ranks as we march through the towns and parishes. We can now field an Army 5 Horse Squadrons, 5 Foot Battalions & 4 field cannon, we are wanting for true Grenadiers and Dragoons but otherwise we are a good sized force. Upon our arrival in this town we are well received and offered quarters in the homes of the locals and men from within the Army. This evening we post strong patrols and out-guards.
